Who are we, what is our vision and ethos?
Lorikeet events & touring is a unique, contemporary event planner, artist management and touring agency hailing from Sydney's Inner West. Lorikeet has a focus on supporting local charities while striving to create a hub for local and national artists alike,
Our focus is to run epic events and tour artists around the map. Donating ten percent of our profits to our nominated charities, we want to do our bit in helping the wider community, in Australia & abroad. Our nominated charities are the Black Dog Institute, Sydney Homeless Connect, Endometriosis Australia and The Refugee Council of Australia.
We run monthly charity events, as-well-as more significant events in an array of locations and venues. These events ten to twenty percent of profits will be donated. At each specific monthly charity event, we run we will give 100% of our profits to one of our chosen charities.
Artists that we have on our roster or who we host, still get paid their deserved performance income, unless they choose otherwise.
With a wide array of connections to agencies and collectives in Sydney's underground electronic, hip hop and rock music scenes, Lorikeet's focus is to showcase a broad spectrum of local and national artists. Promote and exploit the fantastic talent Sydney has to offer, while also seeking international artists to host alongside our local talent.
We have a multi-genre focus. We keep a close eye on House in all its forms, including disco, funk, and electro, minimal techno, UK style drum & Bass and Hip Hop in its pure form. We also focus on local pop, indie, alternative, psyche, and ambient rock artists and bands.
Lorikeet events and touring also have a keen interest in the UK music scene; we will be continuously keeping a close eye on the genres mentioned above, specifically in Bristol & West London!
Hailing from the inner west, all too close to the city, the team at Lorikeet have experienced first-hand, the downfall of Sydney's nightlife. Its live entertainment scene since the introduction of the lockout laws.
Despite this, Lorikeet networks and connects with our fellow counterparts, we see the music industry in Sydney as a community, not a competition.
We at Lorikeet events and touring appreciate all music as an art form. We understand the effort, time, and commitment artists put in while sculpting their works. We recognize all musicians, producers, DJ's, and performers as artists, as that is who they are and what they deserve to be labeled.
